Laying low

With the icky weather this weekend we decided to just layed low around here. I know California needs the rain but I am a little tired of it and am glad to see the sun out today. This was the first week of me staying home on Fridays with the kids. We played at home and made some forts after we went to music class in the morning. Alex kept asking if it was the weekend, he was a little confused as to what was going on.

We had a fun time but unfortunately Alex was a bit sick and ended up in the Urgent Care Friday night getting a breathing treatment. Poor guy was so croupy but I am happy to report is doing much better now. Nurse Amelia helped out taking care of him.

Amelia basked in the attention this weekend with Alex laying low and was Mommy's helper and little shadow. Amelia even loves to dress like me, I love my scarves and Amelia got one of her blankets and put one on to look like Mommy, so cute.

I am on a baking kick and Saturday made Peanut Butter and Jelly cupcakes. Amelia helped me mix them up and of course was also my official taste tester. The cupcakes turned out really good, very rich though with that peanut butter, cream cheese frosting.

To go along with our cupcakes Paul made homemade mac and cheese, meatloaf and onion rings. Don't worry, we invited friends over to share in all the calories. :)
